Green & Clean in Yangon

We plan to be as ‘green’ as Yangon will allow in the day-to-day running of the business centre – we’ve already found a local company to recycle paper, and are now on a determined mission to find plastic recycling.

We have also chosen environmentally-friendly materials for the Business Centre fit-out and are laying reclaimed teak flooring in the Hintha business lounge and common areas (lots available as many old buildings being pulled down or renovated in Yangon).

It’s a really labour-intensive project – when I visited the site, there was at least 6 workers painstakingly checking each floor board to remove old nails and sand down knots … and one chap sweeping  up the wood shavings behind them — a well-coordinated ‘green and clean’ operation!
